Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure all vessels are maintained to the required technical standards and specifications, and promptly advise the Technical Manager of any issues that may impact vessel performance or service capabilities.
- Establish and implement effective engineering systems and best practices in close collaboration with the Operations, HSEQ, and other relevant departments.
- Oversee the technical management of all vessels in line with the Planned MaintenanceSystem, ensuring all records, certifications, and documentation remain accurate and up todate.
- Lead and oversee special projects, dry dockings, and technical studies as assigned by the
Technical Manager
- Develop and maintain systems for fault detection, monitoring, repairs, authorization, and implementation.
- Draft and update technical procedures in accordance with the Technical Manager’s direction.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process when required.
- Support onboard crews by resolving technical issues and monitoring procurement logisticsand purchase orders.
Job & Skill Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in the maritime or ship repair industry, preferably with international exposure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented and comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
